In February of 2024 Areté Structures supplied a thirty foot by ten-foot FRP Truss Bridge for the Whites Mill Trail in Warrenton Virginia. The Fauquier County Parks and Recreation Department was looking for a new bridge to replace one that needed to be removed. Gainesville Topsoil and Excavation was the contractor for the project which included removal of the pre-existing timber bridge and foundation, as well as the assembly and installation of the new FRP bridge and other related work. Although the weather was not ideal, the bridge was completed in 2 days with a crew of 4 guys. Many pieces were hand carried to the site which was a benefit of the light weight FRP. When the project was completed all the parties involved were pleased. The contractor noted that the bridge delivery and installation was very well designed, and they enjoyed working with the Areté team.

Areté’s assembly instructions were very clear and concise, and all the hardware was included and properly labeled. There were no missing or wrong parts. The building process with Areté was smoother and easier than companies that we have worked with in the past. We would highly recommend Areté Structures for your next FRP bridge project.
