The Surrounding Wilderness & Wildlife
Every season brings something new to the trail. Springtime offers a heavy, roaring flow from the seasonal snowmelt, while autumn provides stunning foliage views. Hikers can enjoy a rich local ecosystem home to black bears, river otters, migratory birds like hawks and eagles, and various amphibians near the creek. For the more adventurous, a steep and rugged footpath leads down to the bottom of the gorge, where a small cave awaits exploration at the base of the falls.
